Welcome to the family!

I am so glad to have you here, reading this! Just a quick little introduction about us before everything else! I am Min, I grew up in Hong Kong, but I now live in Lion City, Singapore, with my husband and partner, Richard, with our son and daughter, Japheth and Chiara.
Yes - so now you know how the name came about!

Congratulations on becoming new parents; it’s a huge transformation journey in your life that you’re embarking on, and one that can often be overwhelming at times. Whether your baby refuses to lie in their cot or would rather be close to you, being able to move about still while you hold them is not only convenient but priceless. We want you to know that you’re not alone in this journey, and we’re so glad to have you here with us! Welcome to the Japhethchiara babywearing family; together, let us redefine baby-wearing, so you can focus on what you do best, anytime, anywhere.

As parents, we have been through days when our little one refused to lie in his cot and wanted to be carried all day. Myself, Min, I started working at the floral company I was working at when my firstborn was two and a half months old. It was the festive season, December - so there were a lot of orders coming in. I had to attend to orders both online and on phone calls. But I could have almost nothing done at all when my two-and-a-half-month-old wanted to be carried all day. I was struggling to reply to my inbox, and that was when I tried baby-wearing for the first time. Instantly after putting him on, my baby was all calm and fell asleep shortly after.

That was the start of my baby-wearing journey. I started by telling my husband how great babywearing was, followed by my family and friends. I felt this was something that all mothers (& fathers!) should have and be in love with! I wanted to spread the word so that more parents could experience for themselves how great babywearing can be.

That was how this brand came about - for the moms (or rather, parents) who want to free up more time on their hands yet still spend quality time with their babies to do the things they love every day.
