Finding the Perfect Fit ✨

To ensure the best fit when it comes to picking out a size for the custom-fit Japheth Baby Carrier, we recommend choosing your size based on the wearer’s pre-pregnancy weight {or dads: usual weight}.

📝 Only if there is a weight difference of over 15kg {33 pounds} postpartum, please opt for one size larger.

🔍 Over the years, we’ve used valuable customer survey data to fine-tune our size chart, making it easier than ever to find your ideal size! It’s essential to follow the sizing guide instructions carefully and avoid sizing up unnecessarily, as a snug fit ensures both safety and comfort for you and little one!

📌 NOTE: the carrier is designed to fit snugly against your body, which means it might feel slightly tight when you first wear it—but don’t worry, this doesn’t mean it’s too small, the snug fit ensures your baby is securely supported against your chest, minimising their ability to make big movements. It’s important that the carrier fits snugly to evenly distribute your baby’s weight and ensure safety.

Loose fits or sizing up are NOT recommended—a loose carrier may feel less secure, become uncomfortable, and fail to properly support both you and little one, a larger size will also cause the carrier to sag as baby’s weight increases, compromising both comfort and safety.

If you’re between sizes, choose the larger size ONLY if:
a) your bust size is bigger than a D cup, or
b) your pre- and post-pregnancy weight difference is over 15kg {33 pounds}.

Examples under {b}:

  • If your pre-pregnancy weight was 43kg {size XS} but you now weigh 58kg, size S would be a better fit.
*In such instances, while 58kg typically corresponds to size M in our size chart, there’s no need to size up twice—choosing one size up ensures a snug yet comfortable fit.
  • If your pre-pregnancy weight was 65kg {size M} but you now weigh 80kg, size L would be a better fit.
