FAQs
FAQs, Made Simple ✨
Q: What are the crib/cot sheets made from?
A: Our crib/cot sheets are made from the same fabric as our popular cooling summer bedding collection, featuring a blend of 85% cooling nylon and 15% spandex. The fabric has a natural stretch, and with the added full-perimeter elastic, it ensures a snug, stay-put fit on the mattress—making it easy to fit and remove while keeping your little one comfy.
Q: What is the size for the crib/cot sheets?
A: Our crib/cot sheets measure 120 x 60 cm, a standard size that fits most cribs and cots. However, with the full-perimeter elastic {rubber stretch}, the sheets can comfortably stretch to fit mattresses up to 140 x 70 cm.
Q: How does the cooling crib/cot sheets work?
A: The magic is in the advanced arc-cool yarn woven into the fabric – this innovative technology quickly absorbs and releases body heat, helping to keep the skin cool and comfy upon contact. It’s built with moisture-wicking fabric to keep things comfortable, even on warmer days.
Q: How do the crib/cot sheets compare to regular cotton/bamboo sheets?
A: Our crib/cot sheets were launched after the success of our cooling blankets, designed to feature the same advanced arc-cool technology that our customers love. Inspired by Japan’s arc-chill tech, Japhethchiara is the first to introduce this cutting-edge cooling fabric to the market, making our sheets stand out. Unlike regular cotton or bamboo sheets, our cooling sheets actively work to dissipate warmth. They’re buttery-soft, breathable, and ultra-gentle on sensitive skin—ensuring your little one stays comfortably cool throughout the night.
Q: Will the crib/ cot sheets be too cold for little one/ help to keep warm in a cold air conditioned room?
A: Not at all! Our crib/cot sheets are expertly designed to adapt to your little one’s body temperature. With advanced arc-cool technology and phase change materials (PCM), they regulate warmth without over-cooling. In a cold, air-conditioned room, instead of feeling too chilly, the sheets work to balance body heat. They offer a soft, buttery cooling touch when first felt, but once in contact with the body, they adjust to retain warmth when needed—creating the perfect balance for any environment.
Q: Why are the crib/cot sheets not made to be waterproof?
A: While we’d love to make them waterproof, traditional waterproof materials (like TPU or vinyl) don’t pair well with our arc-cool fabric. These materials can compromise breathability, making the sheets feel less soft and slightly stiff or scratchy. To maintain the smooth, cooling feel and optimal comfort for your little one, we’ve prioritised breathability and temperature regulation. If additional protection is needed, we recommend placing a small waterproof changing mat beneath your baby’s lower body for targeted coverage without sacrificing comfort.
Q: How do I best clean and care for the crib/cot sheets?
A: To clean and care for the crib/cot sheets, machine wash on a gentle cold cycle or hand wash. We recommend washing it separately from other fabrics to protect the cooling yarn. Do not use a dryer; instead, hang or sun-dry to maintain its quality.
